Lily of the Nile

This week I'm participating in Snapshot Saturday hosted by At Home With Books for the first time!

I discovered one of my new favorite flowers while on a walk with our dog the other day. According to Dr. Google, its called Lily of the Nile and just about the prettiest thing I've seen in a while.

There were a few white blooms as well!

  1. Those are so pretty! I love how you showed the different stages of the flowers and the colors! That third one almost looks 3D with the flower towards the camera.

  2. Thank you for sharing these-I have seen them before but never realized that is what they are called.

Let me ask you what is your setting for your photos-I am also on blogspot and can never get my photos to be this size.

    Thank you,

  4. These plants are very common in Australia and New Zealand, I've never heard of the lily of the nile name, we call them agapanthus. In New Zealand they're very commonly used to line driveways. I've got some in my back yard. They're lovely.
